In 2002 Coach Griffith started his coaching career at West Valley High School. He started out coaching the outside linebackers then in 2005 he became the Special Teams Coordinator. In 2008 Coach Griffith was promoted to Defensive Coordinator. In 2018 he made a move to the Offense Coordinator position. Coach Griffith was part of three section winning teams at West Valley and plans to bring that to Foothill High School.
In 2019 Coach Griffith made the move to Foothill High School where his kids are attending school and he was intrigued by the school, community and program. That same season he was the defensive coordinator for the Freshmen. Then in 2020 Coach Griffith was promoted to Defensive Coordinator at the varsity level where he introduced “Club 11” to the defense. This is given to selected players that earn the position with hard work, skill and leadership qualities both on the field and off. Now in 2022 Coach Griffith is in his first year as head coach.
Currently Coach Griffith is the Head Coach and Defensive coordinator at Foothill High School. He is currently a Special Education teacher at Foothill High School. Coach Griffith has a very supportive family that is led by his wife Amanda and their six children: Damon, Kenzie, Dakota, Riley, Brent and Kenzie.
Coach Buck graduated from Shasta High School in 1988.He graduated from Sacramento State in 1992. While in Sacramento, he started his coaching career as the JV coach at Rio Americano High School. From there, he moved back to Redding and began teaching and coaching at West Cottonwood Middle School. In 2004, he started teaching at Foothill High. Away from coaching, Coach Buck enjoys golfing, camping and hanging out with his wonderful wife (Amparo) and kids (Garrett and Mason).
Coach Doelker is an Alumni of Foothill High School (Class of 2006), and a four year football player. After graduation, he attended Shasta College for two years to play football for the knights. From 2010 to 2013, he played semi-pro football for the Redding Heat. During this time, he continued his education and received his social science degree from Chico State University. He has finished his credential program through National University. He will be teaching history at Foothill high school in the fall, and coaching multiple sports including Football (13years), girls basketball (6 years), track and field (7 years). Coach Doelker is entering his 13th season coaching football at Foothill High school. The first 5 years, he was defensive line coach on JV, and this will be his 8th year as the defensive line coach for the Varsity program.
Coach Kammersgard began coaching at Foothill High School in 2019. He Coached Offensive line and defensive line on both Freshman and JV levels. Coached Outside linebackers at the Freshman Level. Coach Kammersgard is currently assisting with both the offensive and defensive lines. Coach Kammersgard's family includes his fiance Maddie and a three-year-old daughter named Sawyer.
Coach Bennett started his coaching career at Shasta High School in 1996. Once Foothill moved to Palo Cedro, he joined the Frosh staff and has been a coach here ever since. Over the years, Kevin has served as a special teams coordinator, defensive coordinator, or head coach and has coached at the Frosh, JV, and varsity levels. He is proudly supported by his wife, Shawna, and their four children – Gabe, Emelyn, Drew, and Zaden.
I am 57 years old and retired after working nearly 29 years in law enforcement with the last 12 years of service in Shasta County. I currently work as a Retired Annuitant/Background Investigator for the California Department of Justice. I am a veteran and served in the United States Army as a Helicopter Crew Chief. I am married with five children and nine grandchildren. I have 12 twelve years of football coaching experience and I have coached at the youth level and at the Freshman, Junior Varsity and Varsity level in high school. I have coached for the Foothill Junior Cougars Youth Program, Foothill High School, and Central Valley High School. I have held the following positions during my coaching coaching career (Offensive Line Coach, Defensive Line Coach, Offensive Coordinator, and Defensive Coordinator)
I have also been a head coach at both the youth and high school level. Coaching is my passion and I have learned immensely from my experiences and interactions with fellow coaches, players and parents during my coaching career. I look forward to coaching for Foothill High School this year as one of two Varsity Offensive Line Coaches.
Coach Harris is the strength and conditioning coach for Foothill High School and in his 2nd year at the school. Harris played at Shasta College and then transferred to Grambling State University playing under the legendary coach Eddie Robinson. Once done with playing football Harris worked for UPS and has since retired. Harris was the strength and conditioning coach at West Valley for 14 years playing a vital role in their program and winning two section championship rings.
